DEADLINE April 6th

Post by LesSampou » Mon Mar 30, 2015 11:35 am

I'm starting a song for the opportunity below and am looking for a engineer co producer. I have the chorus I'll send to you. You can email me at LA Sampou@gmail.com if interested. Deadline is a week.
Hope to hear from you! Les

The first two opportunities are Direct-to-Music Supervisor, so you’ll get all of the income and keep your Copyright and Master ownership. If you’ve got Singer/Songwriter, Alt Pop, Love Songs, or Pop Rock Songs, then spend a couple minutes reading these opportunities to get your week off to a great start!

OPTIMISTIC, CONTEMPORARY SONGS about “New Beginnings or Change” with Male or Female Vocals are needed by a Music Supervisor for NON-Exclusive placements in an Indie Film. They’re open to genres like Acoustic Singer/Songwriter, Pop/Rock, and Indie/Alt Rock for this pitch. The Film is about a couple that’s making a move to a different city, while finding themselves immersed in the local “swinger” scene. Yep, THAT kind of “swinger.” Please submit positive, well-crafted Songs in All-Tempos that could be found on the same hopeful playlist as acts like Colbie Caillat, Jack Johnson, Tristan Prettyman, Todd Carey, Jason Lytle, etc., etc., etc. Please listen to the following songs as a general guide for the overall vibe, and lyric themes that could work:

“Here Comes The Sun” Beatles Cover by Colbie Caillat:

“Change” by Jack Johnson:

“Back to Home” by Tristan Prettyman:

“The First Day” by Todd Carey:

“Brand New Sun” by Jason Lytle:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=78pXxZdFxDc

Quoting the source: “Songs should be optimistic and fun, with an ‘everything will be okay’ kind of vibe. Think of the music playing while a couple is driving down a highway with the top down and starting a new chapter of their life together. The couple starts a new life in Palm Springs, so the overall feel of the song should have a summer-friendly vibe. We really like the cover of ‘Here Comes The Sun’ cover by Colbie Caillat, but covers won’t work. I need original songs only.”

Submit bright, emotionally optimistic songs with lyric themes that would work well in scenes with a couple starting a new life together. Lyrically, you’d be wise to keep them universal and PG-Rated, avoiding references to specific names, dates, times, places. Your songs should be well-structured, with a solid vocal performance that suits the genre you choose to submit. Give them inviting melodies, great hooks, and a great chorus. Broadcast Quality is needed (great sounding home recordings are fine).

TAXI Tip: The Music Supervisor mentioned that he needs songs with a “summer-friendly vibe.” Please don’t take that to mean that he needs songs ABOUT summer! He meant songs that feel light and summery in their vibe, not lyrics about beach balls and bikinis!
Please submit 1-3 Songs no later than 11:59pm (PDT), on Monday, April 6th, 2015. TAXI #U150406SO
