What are you putting on your business cards?

Post by mobster85 » Tue Apr 07, 2015 2:12 pm

Hi,
I was curious as to what anyone is putting on their business cards as far as their title. i am getting ready to order some cards specifically for my music and compositions. I was just wondering. Thanks for your help.

For me, I keep it simple. Name, email, phone, website, soundcloud page. No title.

I think there needs to be a title or phrase that says what it is you DO. Your card could end up in a stack of cards with folks that do all sorts of different things. If your target is music for film/TV then say so with something like "Film/TV Music" or
Songwriter/Composer
Film/TV Music

Gavin, your card is very sharp looking :) but looking at it, I have no idea what you do.

I put a tagline on mine as well as all the pertinent info. Mine says "Timeless Modern Music For Media."

Anything that might pique someone's interest is a good thing I imagine.

good point Casey.

this year I'll have to come up with something cooler. but I'm thinking now I might just get rid of my name completely and have some fun with the whole element thing. probably not good for business but I think once you have a link to music on there thats the main thing. I would recommend a soundcloud link. If you have a Soundcloud Pro account then you can see if anyone you gave your card to checks out your page as it shows up in stats.

FWIW, I set a lot of cues to private and set up private playlists. That way I know that only the people I've sent the links to are the ones listening.

How prudent is it to have a Soundcloud Pro account?
