CONTEMPORARY PIANO-Based INSTRUMENTAL TRACKS are needed by a NON-Exclusive Music Library that absolutely loves TAXI’s members and has a bunch of Reality TV placements. They need contemporary, original, Pop-style Piano Instrumentals in All-Tempos that are primarily piano-based that could be heard on the same playlists as artists like John Legend, A Great Big World, Sara Bareilles, etc., etc., etc. Listen to the following Instrumentals to get an idea of what they’re looking for: “All of Me” by John Legend: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VOUppnIyFbQ “Say Something” by A Great Big World: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2bQp9TnIiNU “Love Song” by Sara Bareilles: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BV6OTSmsPnA Imagine what you might hear playing in the end credits of a TV show or film – mostly simple piano, but not just block chords. Include some arpeggios or flourishes to keep your piece interesting. Give it some movement, but don’t go overboard. You could also have a string section or cello accompaniment, or a very light ensemble with your piano, but nothing too heavy. Submit piano-centric Instrumental Tracks with no lead melodic line. Additional instrumentation such as violin, guitar, bass, drums could work well in moderation, but the focus of your Track NEEDS to be the piano. You can submit Instrumentals that are happy, melancholy, introspective, or heartfelt, so long as they sound contemporary. DON’T submit anything that’s too stiff or MIDI-driven, your submissions should sound authentic. All submissions should be at least 90 seconds long. This Library offers a NON-EXCLUSIVE, 50/50 split. You’ll collect 50% of any sync fees and 100% of the Writer’s share. They’ll get 50% of the sync fee and 100% of the Publishing. You must own or control 100% of the Master and Copyright. Do NOT copy or rip off the referenced artists or songs in any way shape or form. Use them only as a general guide for tempo, texture, structure, and vibe. All submissions will be screened on a Yes/No basis - No full critiques. Please submit one to three Instrumentals online or per CD no later than 11:59pm (PST), on Wednesday, March 11th, 2015.
