Going to have a song on prime time show...kind of

Wasn't sure where to post this. A friend of mine who's in a semi famous band(don't want to name them) from the mid 90's and are a casual band these days, was parked in front of my house yesterday, waiting for me. He told me he was contacted by the music supervisor for a prime time show (don't want to name it) and they wanted his band to cover a new pornographers song. His band isn't in the same genre, they are a more happy punk/REM vibe. Anyway, he said they needed the song by Monday and there was no way they could get the song done by then. He wanted me and my partner to arrange, play and mix the song and have them come in and sing over the top. 50/50 split on the sync fee. Its going to be a good chunk of change. Only issue is, we aren't getting the credit for the song. I don't really have a problem with that, I don't want to make them look like Milli vanilli. I just want that music supervisors contact. I think we will get one of our names in there one way or another. I'm just stoked to get a placement. The song will be done tonight and ready for vocals. Strange how these things come about.
