Studying lyrics - Freedom of press / Hollywood Love

Post by magicjuani » Mon May 04, 2015 8:50 am

Hi everyone,

I'm looking for listening to some famous / hit songs to study / dissect their lyrics dealing with:

- falling in love in Hollywood / when you are famous
- defending the press / freedom of speech

Thanks for your help

This might be a bit obscure, but it's the first thing that popped into mind:
Joni Mitchell was among the stellar writers that came out of that SoCal scene of songwriters,
involved in the post-hippy, flower-power, free love & peace... the Hollywood Hills & canyons
of L.A. So, this song might not be a bad place to start: (dated as it is...)
A great songwriter:

Interesting...I'm not familiar with her songs and I can say that her catalogue is huge! I think I have a good list to start with!
Thank you for your help!
