Writer/player needs remote singer!

Post by nolosolo » Mon May 11, 2015 5:34 pm

Hi all, I'm new to Taxi and this board but have been songwriting for a while now. I can manage the music pretty well I think but have no voice what-so-ever.

After reading some of the requests I think I may want to sign up but would be limited to just instrumentals without a good singer to collaborate with. Bluesy and soulful desired but you be the judge.

Location not important, just need to be able to record clean vocal tracks to wav. format and upload for retrieval for final mixing. (mp3 is okay for email testing of course)

Probably prefer 50/50 split of potential monetary compensation upon acceptance of work but since I'm new at this am open to other suggestions such as pay as I go.

Here's some samples to see my musical styles and ability here:

(or for more tunes and with lyrics) http://www.soundclick.com/kentone

Thanks for your consideration!

welcome Ken,
I visited your site and like your blues! Especially Blue Plate special. If you are looking for a singer for that song, I may be into it at some point. Les:)

Hello Ken and Les,

Nice voice Les. I am a lyricist looking to collaborate with the right composers/producers. I have some country lyrics that would be a good fit for Les. Ken if your up for composing and producing a demo and Les is up for doing the vocals, and if you guys like the lyrics and are interested, then we could collaborate for the purpose of producing a pitchable demo.

if interested, please contact me at sazripmusic@gmail.com

regards,
Costas

Wow, Thanks Les for the kudos! That means a lot! I'd love to see that tune be done right. If it comes up as something you want to pursue, let me know and in the meantime I'll remix it as a backing track for you.

Thanks again!
Ken

Hey Ken,

I'd love to collaborate. I'm a new Taxi member, vocalist, songwriter, guitarist. I can imitate different vocal styles depending on the request. Check out http://www.taximusic.com/hosting/home.p ... joematzzie

I'm developing my ideas for splitting monies as well. I think in lieu of being able to pay people up front, splitting monies between the people involved on a particular record makes sense. If you make a new version of the song years from now you'd want to split the new version with the people who played on that. Another way of doing it might be to say, if the recording earns money you split it with the performers, up to $500. That protects you the writer, and I think $500 is a great "spec" rate for a session musician. I'm looking at this as both a writer and performer.

Anyway at this point I'm eager to get out there and sing on other people's tracks. Let's do it.

Joe

Hi Joe! Sounds like we're on the same page. I took a listen to your material and like what you're doing!

How's your blues voice? 8-)
