Psyched to get a forward
I look forward to the time when I can get lots of forwards, like many of you get.
I was excited to get this song forwarded.

It was kinda fun to write for something so specific:
MOODY, ACOUSTIC-BASED SINGER/SONGWRITER SONGS with Male or Female Vocals are needed for a NON-Exclusive Placement by the Music Supervisor of a Feature Film. Give them introspective, Down-to-Mid-Tempo Songs that could be found on the same playlist as acts like The Cary Brothers, Greg Laswell, Matthew Perryman Jones, etc., etc., etc. Please review the following songs as a general guide for the overall vibe they need: “If You Were Here” by The Cary Brothers (Thompson Twin’s Cover): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8r0Bd9MTmwk “Comes and Goes” by Greg Laswell: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pEFxfVyz4Uc “Only You” by Matthew Perryman Jones: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1rjnnx4h0RU Quoting the source: “This is for a specific scene with the lead character and her estranged brother fight over their father's inheritance, the sister runs off in frustration. The song needs to be moody with a strong sense of loss, and perhaps even frustration. The song should have a similar tempo and lyrical message as the reference songs.” Please submit well-crafted, acoustic-based songs (guitar or piano) with an emotionally moving, moody lyric about loss and as our source mentions, “possibly even frustration.” Lyrics with ideas like, “I can’t believe you’re doing this,” “I can’t believe you’re being this way,” “Are we ever going to get past this,” “Why can’t we work this out,” are in the ballpark of (but not limited to) what this Supervisor needs. Universal lyrics that avoid references to specific names, dates, places, times, brands, and profanity will do best. Your vocal delivery will be key for this pitch, so give them something that really makes listeners feel the loss the character is feeling. Do NOT copy or rip off the referenced acts or songs in any way, shape, or form. Use them only as a guide for feel, texture, and tone. Broadcast quality is needed (great sounding home recordings are fine). The estimated license fee is between $500-$1,500, depending on the ultimate placement. This is a Direct-to-Music Supervisor pitch, so you’ll keep 100% of your Master and Publishing rights, plus you’ll also get 100% of the sync fee and 100% any applicable performance royalties. You must own or control the Master and Copyright to pitch for this opportunity. All songs will be screened on a Yes/No basis. No full critiques. Please submit 1-3 Songs no later than 11:59PM (PDT), on Wednesday, May 27th, 2015. TAXI #U150527SS

Re: Psyched to get a forward
HA! this is so weird. This song popped up playing on my Soundcloud just a little bit ago. And it REALLY caught my ear. So I popped over to the Soundcloud tab see who it was... I was thinking it was Peter Gabriel or something.
And now I see your post here. and click on your link. and... there it is again! HUH!
You've got skills. I foresee lots of forwards in your future.
VERY Excellent song. Congrats on this forward!
