Whoa! is someone at TAXI reading my mind??? time to break out my Jackon Browne chops.

This thread is VERY revealing... almost like a "guilty pleasures" thing, eh?

How about one for "Classic Rock with Psychedelic influences that tries to sound current but is still trying to hit the mark"

I've got the John Cage 4'33" down stone cold, I could record that cue in my sleep, with the best edit points you can imagine.

But, if that's not available I think I'm good with soundscapes and tension cues. Or bossa novas, or 50s straight ahead jazz.

Swerve. That's the brilliance of it, I would be the only Swerve artist in the world. Someday I would be known as the King of Swerve.

I would love some more Americana listings!! :D I've got plenty of great recordings from my time with a bluegrass band that are just waiting to shine ;) Also more female jazz singer listings would be so much fun to do! I love nothing more than singing jazz songs :D

Sorry Peter, but not so campy. I was thinking about Wayne Newton, Louie Prima and the like. I thought that I might have found my niche when they did the show set in early Vegas. Alas the show got canceled after one season.

my focus is not the genre, but the SONG. you can retire to bahamas with a song in any genre, if it's a smash, while a mediocre song in the most popular genre is still mediocre. if your song sucks, don't blame the genre, blame your songwriting :P
