She’s as rare as a ruby
Shining in a lonely shadow world of dust and sand
Showing boldness to a lifeless, barren land
So I willingly surrender
To her myst’ry and her splendor

She’s as free as a river
In a stagnant, shallow world that’s narrow and confined
There’s no telling where her future will unwind
My desire always gives in
To the magic dream she lives in

Ev’ry thing of humble worth that should be treasured
She reveals with clarity
And however riches of the heart are measured
She remains a rarity

She’s as rare as a ruby
And a hunger for a place she’s never seen before
Is a flaw that makes her love shine all the more
I just hope creation shows her
All the beauty that it owes her
