CONTEMPORARY GARAGE ROCK SONG - To My Face

Post by ScottFree4All » Sat Jul 25, 2015 11:37 am

I have been so negligent in posting these days. :| F-M Cossey & I just got a forward for a song we wrote and I produced called "To My Face." This was basically an excuse to work with the incredible Steven Wesley Guiles - ;) who sang the vocals for us. Thank you Steve.

Listener ID # 380 merely said, "Nice work." I'll take that as a positive. :D

Several CONTEMPORARY GARAGE ROCK SONGS with Male Vocals are needed for NON-Exclusive placements by the Music Supervisor of a brand new TV Series on a Major Broadcast Network. Please submit original, Mid-to-Up-Tempo Songs in the broad stylistic wheelhouse of acts like The Black Keys, The White Stripes, Black Rebel Motorcycle Club, etc., etc., etc. Please listen to the following references to get yourself in the ballpark of what they need: “Gold On The Ceiling” by The Black Keys: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6yCIDkFI7ew “Seven Nation Army” by The White Stripes: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KB9K0zGfCr8 “Spread Your Love” by Black Rebel Motorcycle Club: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2YFkn8rawVk Quoting the source: “We need authentic sounding Garage Rock with Male Vocals to play as source music (likely coming from a jukebox in the background) in various bar scenes. The vocals shouldn't be too prominent, upfront, or distracting. It should play really well in the background at a low volume.” This is a great opportunity to build a relationship with this Supervisor working on a new show! Please submit high-energy Songs with memorable guitar riffs and a driving energy that can play well for a variety of bar scenes. Be sure your songs have great hooks, with a rockin’ chorus that would appeal to fans of the referenced acts and others in their ballpark. As mentioned in the quote above, please be sure your vocal isn’t too prominent or loud in the mix, as this might interfere with the flow of a scene, and detract from the scene’s dialog. Lyric themes can vary, but should be something typically heard in songs by bands in this genre. Universal lyrics apply, so please avoid references to specific names, places, times, dates, brands, and profanity. Do not copy or rip off the referenced artists or songs in any way, shape, or form. Use them only as a general guide for tempo, texture, tone, and vibe. Broadcast Quality is needed (great sounding home recordings are fine). The estimated license fee for this use is $1,000, depending on the ultimate placement. This is a Non-Exclusive, Direct-to-Music Supervisor placement, so you’ll get 100% of the sync fee, you’ll keep 100% of your Publishing and Master ownership, and you’ll also get 100% of any applicable performance royalties! You must own or control the Master and Copyright to pitch for this opportunity. All Submissions will be screened on a Yes/No basis by a TAXI screener handpicked by the Music Supervisor. No full critiques. Please submit 1-3 Songs no later than 11:59PM (PDT), on Monday, June 22nd, 2015. TAXI #U150622GR

Awesome Scott I like your productions on your stuff. I'm just getting started with ProTools myself so I'll try to take a page out of your book =)
