Cue plays info...

Post by daveydad » Mon Jul 27, 2015 8:00 am

I've had a track used quite a few times on NBC Sports' Versus channel. The plays always show up in Tunesat but I've never seen any royalties. Now, it may have been licensed through a royalty-free site but wouldn't that allow them to use it only once? Any idea how I can look into this? Can my PRO check it out? Thanks!

Hey Dave, I've had cue sheets show up in my ASCAP account as much as 8 months after the show's initial airing. Don't know why it takes so long, but it does...

Regardless, if the Tunesat detections you're seeing are fairly recent ("recent" meaning within the past 6-7 months), just hang tight - they'll probably show up soon. If, however, you don't see a cue sheet after about 8 months, you may want to check into it.

Yeah, thanks. A library I belong to said he seriously doubts a biggie like NBC would license from a RF site and first payout should be in Sept. Yay!!

Yeah I think sometimes they just don't get around to sending in cue sheets for a while, like a long while...
