Singer/Songwriter forward!
My song, "Circles" got forwarded to this listing:
DREAMY ACOUSTIC-BASED INDIE SINGER/SONGWRITER SONGS with Female Vocals are needed for a bunch of NON-Exclusive Placements by an A-List Hollywood Music Supervisor of a HIT TV Series. Please submit Down-to-Mid-Tempo Songs in the general stylistic ballpark of acts like Liza Anne, Odessa, Dana Sipos, etc., etc., etc. Listen to the following references as a general guide for the vibe, tone, and overall feel that could work well for this pitch: “Lost” by Liza Anne: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LExYeHF-ypk “Grow” by Odessa: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EW3kWvSk8Ss “Morningside” by Dana Sipos: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Uzwwi58onRk She needs songs with organic instrumentation and a dreamy, ambient quality that can fit nicely into the background of scenes where something emotional is taking place. What would you hear in a scene where a young lady is having a deep conversation about a big life choice with her best friend? Something organic, a little moody, and most importantly, something that supports her “deep thinking” but doesn’t get in the way of the dialog at all! This Supervisor is NOT looking for typical hit songs Rather than having big choruses that jump out, you’re better off submitting songs with choruses that are more reserved and less obvious or commercial sounding. Give this Supe songs with heartfelt, maybe even introspective lyrics… although the lyrics might not be all that important for this pitch because these songs will be used in the background to create a “vibe.” You should avoid submitting lyrics that have references to specific names, dates, times, places, and profanity. Do NOT copy or rip off the referenced artists in any way shape or form. Use them only as a general guide for tempo, texture, and tone. Broadcast Quality is needed (great sounding home recordings are fine). The estimated license fee is $1000-$2000, depending on the ultimate placement. This is a Non-Exclusive, Direct-to-Music Supervisor pitch, so you'll keep 100% of the sync fee and any applicable performance royalties if you nail a placement in this show. Plus you'll also keep 100% of your Publishing and Master ownership! You need to own or control your Master and Copyright to pitch for this opportunity. All Songs will be screened on a Yes/No basis by a TAXI screener who has been hand-picked by the Music Supervisor! No full critiques. Please submit 1-3 Songs no later than 11:59PM (PDT), on Saturday, June 27th, 2015. TAXI #U150627SS
You can find the song on my Taxi page. Yay!
