Way Hay - First piece for Taxi put forward

Post by KenSmith » Wed Aug 26, 2015 4:24 am

Very happy to find that my first piece submitted after joining Taxi last month has been forwarded for the
Atmorpheric soundscape listing,
Big thanks to my new friends here on the forum who have made really helpful comments and been a real encouragement. :D

ATMOSPHERIC SOUNDSCAPE-STYLE INSTRUMENTAL CUES are needed by an A-List Music Licensing Company with tons of high-end placements in Film, TV, and Commercials. They need atmospheric, ambient, Down-to-Mid-Tempo Cues in the general stylistic wheelhouse of Rhian Sheehan, Hammock, Helios, etc., etc., etc. Please review the following compositions to get a general idea of the range of styles that could work for this pitch:

“Sileo” by Rhian Sheehan: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1gDdWWgQlOs

“Then the Quiet Explosion” by Hammock: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iWsWBfRUjTc

“Nothing It Can” by Helios: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v8R0o092C8k

Please submit Instrumental Cues that range from warm and comforting, to peaceful, to inspiring, and beyond! Imagine what you might hear while watching free-climbers scale a mountain in slow motion, or what you’d hear watching a fly-through shot of a lush forest.

Instrumentation can vary, but should use great sounding samples, unique sounds and layered textures to create a Cue that makes you feel like saying “Ooooh and Ahhh.” Please avoid anything dark, moody, or dreary for this pitch. Shoot for dreamy, inspirational, or soothing. Do NOT copy or rip off the referenced artists or music in any way, shape, or form. Use them only as a general guide for feel, texture, tone, and vibe.

TAXI Tip: We do not recommend adding sound effects to your Cues! A light bell tree? Ok! Dreamy Choral vocal pads? Sure! But no rain, thunder, waves or other such affects. If they need them, they’ll add them in post-production.
