TAXI collaboration hatched at the Road Rally gets placed

I wanted to share a quick note about a recent success that I had with my co-writer Robbie Hancock. Although we are both Canadian (from opposite coasts) Robbie and I met in person at the TAXI road rally in 2013, and are both frequent posters in this TAXI forum.

Last year we produced an Indie-folk song called "Into The Bright" which also featured the formidable banjo talents of Canadian Taxi member Shayne Green. Its been forwarded a number of times, and we have signed it to a west coast non-exclusive publisher that works with a large number of TAXI members.

Last week we inked a direct-to-agency deal through a (non-TAXI) personal connection which featured "Into the Bright" in a "making of" YouTube video documenting the behind the scenes work for a commercial for the Pervuian company Claro. We got a nice sync fee as well.

This is the first international placement that we have had together and its pretty darn exciting!
