Some day soon the smoke of loss comes drifting in

But regretful tears
Lonely haunted years
Are now all my mem’ries are a journal of

I remember walking through a field of grass
Love stretched out before us farther than forever
But it’s funny how forever came to pass
Floating like a feather on a twilight zephyr

Now they’re still and only time will tell for sure

But I still don’t know
