What kind of forward rate have you had this year?
Just curious. I re-joined Taxi in May and my forward rate is about 45%.

You've really hit your stride Dave!
I was at around 25% until a month ago. I'm down around 20% now, but the good thing is that my tracks are getting better each month.

I'm at about 25%. But I've only submitted about 16 tracks. Getting more action elsewhere.

9 for 17 here. I've become much more selective and I think able to target better.

39% of the songs I sent were forwarded
65% of the listings I submitted to had forwards
And 1 signing generated from this year's forwards...
for 6% of my forwarded listings.

Re: What kind of forward rate have you had this year?
Just over 29% (12 out of 41 submissions) forwarded since I joined in April this year. These were all instrumentals/instrumental cues for TV/films, except for 2 instrumentals for artists. I'm kind of new at this though and was expecting to have a hard time in the first year. No interest from the companies the forwards went to yet, either.
Just keep rolling and improving and eventually it'll happen.

So far I'm 12 for 34 (35%). Looking at my past years it usually sits around 45%. I'm also trying to be more selective with my submissions. But if you ask about signings...one. That's pretty dismal in my opinion.

My forward ratio goes up to 110%.
Actually, I don't know. I don't track stats... Generally I look more at the types of potential deals that I get forwards for.

I know it doesn't always mean anything, but I think it's worth looking at your ratio's as a way to determine how you can improve.
For 2015 my forward rate so far is 69%, all instrumentals (23 total = 16 forwards, 7 returns)
I aim at submitting 2 pieces per month and spent more time on each piece to make sure its on target and sounds as good as I can make it. In the past I have tried up'ing how many I submit per month or per listing and was met with a higher number being returned so I have gone back to spending more time on each piece, and not submitting everything I write unless its good enough.
Just recently I have been contacted by 2 libraries, so I'm sticking to quality over quantity at this stage. Time and practice will make me faster.
Also, I have found that sticking to a few genres has helped, otherwise the learning curve is spread across all genres rather than just a few and it takes longer to learn what works for that genre. I've found when I submit to a different genre than usual I get a number of rejections until I 'get' what works.
