Good sound bundle?

Post by ComposerLDG » Tue Oct 20, 2015 6:22 am

I'm on the hunt for a nice bundle that's not as synth heavy as Komplete. Suggestions?

Are you looking for samples to add to an existing DAW, or just some fresh sounds? What kind of instruments?

Samples to add to Logic. I'm liking what I hear from Sample Logic. Cinematic Keys is awesome. For instruments, looking for some strings, brass, woodwind, and a few synths. Good piano/keys too.

Logic itself has some great synth sounds, the most recent update includes Alchemy, a very powerful synth with current sounds. Logic also has a great B-3 and some nice Rhodes options. I live/love Kontakt though, it has everything I need. Komplete comes with four separate Pianos plus a very robust Factory Instruments collection. I upgraded to Ultimate mainly for the better brass and strings.

I'm also a fan of 8DIO and BigFishAudio

Thanks, Paulie. I did download the Alchemy content and like it a lot. And yes, Logic does have some nice organ and electric pianos. I just got turned on to 8dio and Sample Logic a few days ago. Thanks for the links!

Omnisphere is the synth/virtual instrument to have, if you can only have one. That, Trilian and Stylus can take you as far as you might ever need to go. Still, I think you'd also want Kontakt, a couple of dedicated acoustic drums VIs and some sort of symphonic solution, to cover the rest of the bases.

Mojo, I'm finding Kontakt indispensable, truly. I love it. Kontour, Rounds, Polyplex, Reaktor....plus Session Strings, Session Horns, the drummers, and the piano libraries. LOVE IT!

Alchemy rocks! I'm liking that, Kontour, Rounds, and Absynth. Alchemy has some really great stuff, though!
