TAXI Instrumental Compilation Forward

Post by GoodLookingAnimals » Thu Oct 29, 2015 6:29 am

I'm still new to instrumental cues and have not done very many, so I was happy to see that I got a forward for this:

https://soundcloud.com/goodlookinganima ... e-cue-demo

I hired a real sax player, so I hope this or a version of this makes a few bucks in the future...however, it's been my own unique ringtone for my cell phone for over a year, so I guess it's worth it either way :)

ORIGINAL INSTRUMENTAL CUES in ALL GENRES and ALL TEMPOS are needed for TAXI Compilations that we send to Music Libraries and Music Supervisors as “calling cards” when we reach out to them for new opportunities for our members. We typically build compilations that are tailored to each potential new client, and we get the music from a “pool” that will be culled from this Listing. We’re looking for a broad range of styles/genres that you’d typically hear (mostly) in TV shows: Tension, Swampy, Quirky, Light Acoustic, Indie Folk, Comedy, Crime Scene/Investigative/Procedural, Horror/Suspense, Hip Hop, Dance/Pop, Military/Marches, Rock (all types), Jazz (all types from solo cocktail piano to full band), Orchestral, Film Trailer, Metal, Blues, Blues Rock, EDM, Funk, Action/Adventure, R&B, Dubstep, World (all common ethnicities/genres), Ambient, Trip Hop, Island, Punk, New Age, etc., etc., etc. Your moods can run the gamut, and ALL TEMPOS are okay for this pitch. Your submissions should be at least 90 seconds long. Non-faded endings are strongly preferred, and easy edit points are a big plus! TAXI Tip: Our A&R team will be looking for the “cream of the crop” for these compilations, so please don’t get bummed out if your Cue doesn’t get selected for this opportunity. It doesn’t mean it’s not good, but we are going to be very selective as we will only be able to use a few tracks for each genre in each of the compilations we build. Virtually all of the Cues used in previous compilations have already been signed at this point, so we need some fresh examples for future versions. Please send ORIGINAL INSTRUMENTAL CUES that are NOT already signed with any Publishers, Libraries, or catalogs! Broadcast Quality is needed (great sounding home recordings are fine). You must own or control the copyright and master recording to submit for this pitch. Submitting to this Listing does NOT preclude you for pitching the Cues for other TAXI or outside opportunities. All Cues will be screened on a Yes/No basis. No full critiques. Please submit 1-3 Instrumentals no later than 11:59 pm (PDT), on Monday, September 14th, 2015. TAXI #U150914IC

Congrats on the forward! Great feel, sax player sounds great. That's not an easy part... lots of leaps. :)

There is a certain "BAAAAP" in real wind and brass instruments that gets lost.
Good idea to hire the real BAAP!
And oh ... congratulations! 8-)
