Taxi Collaboration Successes

Post by Casey H » Tue Nov 10, 2015 5:34 pm

I missed the "Collaboration Nation" panel at the 2015 rally (Was teaching a class at the same time), but I can't stress enough how important collaborations are to success.

Over the past year, I've placed 8 tracks in a major Taxi client library (that 'important' one based out of the LA area). All were Taxi collaborations:

4 piano tracks co-written and produced/performed by Bob Mete.
1 singer-songwriter song, co-written with Josh Coleman and produced/performed by Paul Otten.
1 indie folk song, co-written and produced/performed by Nathan Nasby
1 indie folk song, co-written with James Carvalho and produced/performed by Paul Otten.
1 60's pop song, co-written and produced by Scott Free, vocal by Shane Searles.

Without the Taxi community and the talents of all these folks, none of this would be possible. This forum and the road rally are the best for building relationships with your fellow members.

Thank you Taxi and all my cohorts! ;)

Thanks Casey!

Well said, and point on! It's been a pleasure co-writing with you.

Looking forward to our next projects! :D

Sorry I missed your class, Casey. I was busy on the collaboration panel at the time

I've heard lots of people mention that they are somewhat daunted by the prospects of collaboration. I felt the same way before collaborating. But once you get over that hump, each collaboration becomes more natural.

If you do the thing you fear, the death of fear is certain.
