Children's Instro Cues vs Light Comedy

Post by AndrewScott » Thu Nov 26, 2015 11:52 pm

I started working on this cue

https://soundcloud.com/andrewscottmusic ... hestra-mid

for a recent listing that called for light comedic instrumental cues.

I missed the deadline, then thought maybe it could work for
CHILDRENS-style INSTRUMENTAL CUES with various Instrumentation, Tempos, Moods, and child-friendly Genres are needed by a European Music Library with a very long list of great placements in Film and TV. They’re relatively new to running Listings with TAXI, so you probably don’t have material in their catalog yet! They’re building a brand new catalog of Children’s music, and they’re itching to find original, well-crafted Cues in All-Tempos.

Is it worth risking $5?

I think so! You figure, the two genres do go together! Did you want to post some tracks for feedback?

Hey Andrew, it's a really nice piece!
My ears wanted to hear a faster bpm for kids
I'm just thinking "holding their attention"
Should still have the same adventurous feel but would become a hair happier...

Is this all midi? If so, just play around with the BPM.
I work in Cubase and if I change the BPM of the project all of the midi will follow it...

2 cents!

Thanks for your comments, people,

Cass, regrettably, the flutes are live. ( It's ironic that you should ask that considering a recent thread I started..http://forums.taxi.com/topic132833.html )

Anyway I also work with Cubase (for better or for worse). I did think it could be a little quicker, but it wasn't until after I'd finished .

The lazy part of my brain is tempted to accept Burpo's opinion and leave it as is.

Maybe Cubase can up the tempo without damaging the audio on the flutes.

Thanks for your offer, but this is all I have!

Loren,
Did you want to post some tracks for feedback?
I do have another track for a different listing:

I like it, Andrew! Definitely a creep-crawly tip-toe cue.

Turns out I didn't need to do anything to this track.

https://soundcloud.com/andrewscottmusic ... hestra-mid

It got forwarded to 2 listings:
U151209OC

ORCHESTRAL INSTRUMENTAL CUES in a variety of Moods, Tempos, and Ensemble size are needed by a well-connected Music Supervisor who’s started a new, NON-EXCLUSIVE Film/TV Music Licensing Company. He’s currently working on a number of popular Reality TV Shows, and is building a catalog of believable-sounding Orchestral Instrumental Cues that you’d hear in popular shows like The Bachelor, Amazing Race, The Great Escape, Expedition Impossible, The Apprentice UK, etc.

and

U151129CL

CHILDRENS-style INSTRUMENTAL CUES with various Instrumentation, Tempos, Moods, and child-friendly Genres are needed by a European Music Library with a very long list of great placements in Film and TV. They’re relatively new to running Listings with TAXI, so you probably don’t have material in their catalog yet!
