We were snuggled
On the sofa
Watchin’ scary
Flix on Halloween
I was blushin’
And I couldn’t
B’lieve that they
Were PG 13
Then my girlfriend
Started frownin’
At the nudie
Shower scene

Then she glared at me and said
“put your eyes back in your head

Those things’re fake
They ain’t the real McCoy
They’re the fantasy of
Fifteen year old boys
So gimme a break
How much more can I take
They’re obviously fake”

Then we saw that
New romantic
Movie in the
Theater at the mall
Well, the hero
Knew karate
And he looked over
Seven feet tall
He proposed to
His young sweetheart
Underneath a
Moonlit waterfall

Well, my girlfriend jabbed me in the ribs
When I chuckled like a kid and said

“that’s all so fake
It ain’t the re-al world
It’s the fantasy of
Fifteen year old girls
So gimme a break
How much more can I take
It’s obviously fake”

Then we argued all the way back to the house
And we sat there fumin’ on the couch
Then we smiled and looked into each others’ eyes
And we made love until sunrise

Then I understood
Love is magic dreams
Sometimes it’s so good
That it almost seems…like
