OK, Composer Catalog users, how do you handle re-titles? How do you keep track of the re-titles under a master title and where they are all shopped and signed?

Hey Russell-

Not sure if I understand your question, but you can put the retitle under the alt title field in the appropriate publisher information.

You should be able to tell what was not signed by searching and set the "Is Signed" flag to "No". That should show you all the tracks that have not been signed.

Let me know if that helps.

Thanks,
Keith

I bought it. Now I think my next step is to pay my teenager to do data entry for me... I've got 250 cues to add. :)

I'll one-up you, Paulie. When I finally buy this thing, I'm going to get an Intern! That oughtta keep him/her busy for at least a semester.

I bought it while I don't have much to input. Thought it might make things simpler! :( :)

Thanks for your support, gents!

I would also take a look at the importing ability of Composer Catalog. It might make your life a little easier (or your intern's life!)

Hi Keith:

I've re-installed CC on a new computer and while all the song data exported and imported correctly, links to my audio files have not. With over 100 songs in my database, I'm looking for a quick fix to relinking all of these files. The song files are on a new drive on the new system, but the folder structure is identical to the old system. Basically I need to change a drive letter to point to the new path and all would be relinked again. What's the best solution to my problem?

thanks,

Doug s.

HI Doug-

The Mac version will prompt you for a new location when it cannot find the current audio location.

As for a more global replacement solution, I am working on a solution for you.

So if you can hold tight until that solution is in place, you would be able to replace them all in one shot, or you could replace as necessary.

Thanks
