Thanks Len. The distortion happens when I export files as well as live playback. Some of the patches are pretty mellow so I don't think its volume or feedback--I think its a bug? The levels are no where near the red.

It tried working with EQ and the notch filter. What is weird is occasionally the patches sound fine--randomly.

One other person on a forum reported the same problem :([/quote]

If you could post a few downloadable files that would be great.

I've got some really cheap headphones I listen to on the internet computer. They've got really thin cheap foam covers, I took off and cleaned, and instead of shrinking they got looser to the point one fell off so I left it off. The point is that sometimes that speaker and the plastic cup isn't cushioned on my ear and will resonate sometimes.

The volume can be fine and still create a resonance, it doesn't have to go into the red. Almost assuredly it will be begin at the low end because that's where fundamental frequencies begin, and generate harmonics and overtones. Sort of why a bass voice is always better than a soprano, because of the depth of harmonics compared to the limited number of harmonics of a soprano, :P just kidding
