Morning all!
Is it okay to submit the same piece to the same listing, say the 'real' version and a simpler version?
If so, how would you name them?

+1 on Cass's advice, but if you want two submit two versions which are mixed/engineered differently, then that is fine.
I've seen this work for members who aren't sure about the mix or fX (over-compressed, what room to put the sound in etc.) and then get one version accepted. Or both!
