I finally got Guitar Rig 5 working. Sounds great so far, have to keep playing with it.

How do you record your bass as it sounds great as well!

BTW we met briefly at the last RR.

Thanks :D

For my bass sounds, I'm using the Ample Sound Basses, they have four. http://www.amplesound.net/en/index.asp I run them through the Guitar Rig plug-in.

BTW, I've experimented with several preamps for my guitars through Guitar Rig. Depending on the sound I want I may run it through a different preamp before the interface's input. My interface is a MOTU 828 mk3. For preamps, I may use the ARP Tube MP or the Aphex Project Channel. However, I've found a really nice sound by using the MOTU ZBox between my guitar and the unbalanced mic input on my MOTU interface. The ZBox is a nice budget oriented solution to getting a good virtual sound with your guitar into the unbalanced mic input of your interface. (don't plug your guitar into the line input of course... unless you are using a preamp that pushes line level signals on the output)

Hope this helps

Bit late to the party but I find my tube preamp -> interface -> Guitar Rig provides me with a vast range of sounds. The beauty of Guitar Rig is it is also a multi-effects paradise for things other than guitars. Great for texturising synths and lots of options for sound design in general.

Thanks Russell and Cruciform! I have decided to go with Guitar Rig 5. It sounds great and is very easy to use. Russell thanks for the pre amp tips also!
