Hi everybody. I have 2 3TB LaCie external hard drives that i use together with a Macbook Pro for recording. I keep my recording work on one hard drive and sample libraries on the other. Two days ago one of the hard drives fell off the stand and disconnected from the Macbook. I put the USB cable back in and ever since then it is not showing up anywhere. I had Komplete 10 Ultimate on there which I use quite a bit . The Hard drive that fell still lights up when i boot up the computer and I can see Native instruments but the individual libraries are listed as unable to be found.
What can I do to get it back?
Thanks for the help!

Test the HDD
http://knowledge.seagate.com/articles/e ... iagnostics
http://www.lacie.com/products/after-sal ... -software/
Depending on the results, you'll probably either trash the hdd, or reinstall Komplete 10 Ultimate.
No need for recovery software or services.

Thanks Len. I'll try that. The Hard Drive on the main computer seems fine.

The same exact thing happened to me two days ago.
While at your desktop, type Command-Shift-U to open the Utilities folder. Launch the Disk utility and see if the drive is listed. Mine was listed but with an incorrect name, something like "23y". Click to highlight it, then click "Repair Disk". Once done, you might see a button at the top that says "Mount." Click that to mount the drive and you should be good to go.
