History Channel payout?
I'm in the process of getting some cues used for the first time exclusively in an upcoming History Channel show and wondered how well they pay (backend) compared to other cable channels?

It really depends how your music is being used, but here's a ball park on what I got on last quarter from History, Bravo and Discovery channel for background instrumental.
History- 7 seconds- $1.18
Bravo- 7 seconds- $1.59
Discovery- 6 seconds - .84
These are all for the same usage for different shows. As you can see it varies.

Wow, Bravo pays better than History huh? Interesting... I'm also in the works to get some cues on A&E shows. How about them?

It also varies by time of day such as daytime, prime time, etc. Not sure if Gus already compensated for that in his comparison.

Like Casey said, there are a lot of variables and when you're dealing with pennies it's not too much of a difference.
