Hey Cass, I recognise that Little uke intro

I felt that Johns vocals were masked a bit by the reverbs and the uke at times. That big drum has some serious rumble to it :o .

Both of these points were noticeable only at higher volume levels. Played really quietly things sat okay.

Hi guys. Good way to showcase John's voice without distractions. Simple and purdy. ya can't lose:) I don't like the drums at all when they come in at 1:55 ish. Seems like if you are going to build you would have started much earlier?? But that's just me.

it's just cool yawl

Sincerely

paul

Great Words Paul!
The drums aren't feeling right, now that you point them out.
More editing coming right up!
Thanks!!!

Hey Cass

I really like this as a singer songwriter song. It is sweet but not overly so. It has a nice way of pulling you into the song. The only thing that I felt could change it up a bit, was in the chorus. " Why I Love You ". It seemed too much like the verse. I thought if you broke it up a little by singing something like " that is why, why why I love you ", it might add more interest and give it more of a hooky feeling, as if some one like Jason Mraz was singing it. Johns voice is perfect for this song and I wish you both good luck with it.

Anyway, I love this song and it's just my 2 cents.

Tom

Tom,

That's a great point on the lyric and I will do so. The vocal featured in this mix was my scratch vocal with my initial lyrics and melody, which I'm still contemplating.

Thanks,

John

Nice romantic tune, the uke is really carrying it.

On that note, I felt the tempo was a little dragging, so I'd suggest bumping up the tempo a notch.
To me, the cello was introducing a countervibe to the uke. I understand it's a melancholic love song, but that didn't work for me. It pushed it into that no mans land, which you or may not prefer, depending on artistic/ commercial standpoint.

sounds like a really sweet love song! I would say I wish the tempo was sped up a bit. I think the song would be more effective if it was a bit quicker.

The vocal sounds a little breathy/scratchy to me. Probably just a tiny high EQ thing.

I'd proceed full speed ahead with this, but also work on a retro country version.
I hear Conway Twitty in thar.

Great work, guys!
