My story so far...

Post by kclements » Wed Jun 15, 2016 5:25 am

Hello everyone.

I haven't been as active here on the Taxi boards as I once was, but I did want to report back in on my path so far. I can attribute all these placements directly to Taxi, in one way or another. None of this would have happened had I not joined Taxi back in 2010 and worked through many, many returns and a few forwards.

The thing about returns; they provide the education. Forwards are great for the ego, and can lead to deals, but the real meat is in the returns. If you take the time to listen to cues that got a forward and compare to your return, there is gold to be mined.

Friday is BMI day, so we will see how I did. But as of my last statement, I have had numerous placements on: Animal Planet, Bravo, Fox Sports, History Channel, Lifetime Movie, MTV, Nat Geo, TLC, TrueTV, VH1, CBS, Discovery, ABC, CMTV and placements in Australia, Brazil, Canada, Chile, Denmark, Finland, Mexico, Romania, US, and the UK.

It's amazing! 5 and a half years ago I didn't know what Production Music Libraries were. Now I am writing for 9 libraries (one of which pays me up-fronts!) and getting placements somewhere in the world every week.

Keep up the great work Taxi! I owe this all to you.

Cheers

KC,

Thank you for taking the time to share your story! That was very thoughtful. It is inspiring.

All I can say is, congratulations for sticking it out and being persistent. And at the end of your 5 year plan, you are working for nine libraries which is boss!

You deserve ALL the rewards of your talent and hard work!
