Two very short forwards

Post by Onaginoffegin » Mon Aug 15, 2016 3:59 pm

Listing asked for 30-second happy solo piano pieces.
"A Happy Memory" and "Delightful" were forwarded.
Both can be found on my TAXI page at:

Listing info:

SHORT, UPBEAT SOLO PIANO RIFFS are needed by a really large media company for placements in several projects, including hit cable TV shows, other shows on their own network, and online media. This rapidly growing industry giant is building its own Exclusive, In-House Music Library and will pay an initial buyout fee of $250 for 100% of the Publisher’s share and Master rights. On top of the per track fee, you will also get 100% of the Writer’s share of the publishing and make applicable performance income. They’re looking for Original, Emotionally Upbeat, Solo Piano Instrumental Riffs that can be used for transitions between scenes in TV shows and web-based, digital content. Upbeat Piano Instrumental Music https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d4Qn1VfziUM Happy Piano Music https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3j9CY3o5rR0 “Giddy Girl” by Jacques Ibert https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0e24olO_jN0 Although the references are full-length instrumentals, please submit short piano riffs only for this pitch. Give them fun, emotionally upbeat, Mid-to-Up-Tempo, Solo Piano Riffs that would work as awesome segues between scenes and segments in their TV shows and online content! Feel free to get creative with styles and tones, just keep the overall mood happy and emotionally upbeat. Remember, the above references are just jumping off points, so don’t feel like your pieces need to sound exactly like them! All submissions should be about 30 seconds in length, with good edit points and Non-Faded endings. Please make sure to let your last note ring out at the end. Do NOT copy or rip off the references in any way, shape, or form. Use them only as a general guide for tempo, tone, texture and overall vibe. Broadcast Quality is needed (great sounding home recordings are fine). If you’re using Piano samples (instead of a real piano), please make sure they sound like the real thing! Because this Library offers an EXCLUSIVE deal, the music you submit for this pitch CANNOT be signed with any other publishers or catalogs. Please submit 1-3 Instrumentals Online or per CD. All submissions will be screened on a yes/no basis, no full critiques. Submissions must be received no later than 11:59PM (PDT), on Tuesday, August 9th, 2016. TAXI #D160809HP

I knew you'd be in the hunt on this one. Congrats! I really like "Delightful", would love to hear a full version of that one. :)

Thanks, Paul. The screener was on the fence with Delightful, but forwarded it anyway.
I submitted a couple of others, but they were deemed too reflective to be happy.

I loved Delightful, Henry, and would surely love to hear a full version off this one, but I was thinking it might work better for an intimate, reflective, passionate cue rather than a happy, upbeat piano cue.
A happy memory works perfectly.. awesome job
and congrats on the forwards ;)

Thanks Edmond. Your comments echoed almost exactly what the screener wrote.
