You’d be wise to stick to a singular, exploratory mood throughout the entire Cue so your submission is cohesive from top to bottom, while adding and subtracting different elements to add dynamics and interest as your Cues progress. These Cues could be used in shows about the genome, space-related stuff, or even a scene in a show where a lab tech is looking at something through a microscope. Imagine the music you’d hear while a hacker is typing away on his laptop, or a scientist is working diligently in a lab. That’s what they need! TAXI Tip: We noticed that a lot of “science-y” and “tech-y” music is based on arpeggiated chords. Using those could be a good idea, but don’t limit yourself to just that style!
