Publising Deal Title Change

Post by jazpno » Thu Sep 29, 2016 10:47 am

I recently have been offered a publishing deal from one of my forwards in Taxi. It is a UK company. They have sent me the contracts and they want to change the title of my track. I have heard of this before. My question is should I re register this track with ASCAP under the new name and Assign the Publisher field to them? This seems to be the logical way to change the title as I cannot find out how to edit the current registration of the track. Can anyone help me out with this?

Congrats on the deal!
Don't register the track, the publisher will do that for you. You can leave the original registration alone.
