Today, I received my first check from Spotify in the amount of $.04USD, which is dang near a nickel, for a dozen plays of my single, "Orange Juice Blues". *
Huzzah! Another thousand plays and I can enjoy a breakfast at iHOP that includes coffee. (and kids eat free) Progress is incremental, so it's important to mark the milestones. Those of you watching from the sidelines might find it a bit odd that I'm celebrating this, but the rest of you know exactly how I feel, which is purty danged good. Maybe it ain't much, but it's a start, and it's been a long time comin'.
* or more accurately, my account was credited by $.04USD; they'll cut a check, if and when the amount owed reaches $25USD, but hey, oaks from acorns, right? [winks]

Nice one Mojo, and may your acorns swell! (Did that sound right ??)
Maybe we all need a few thousand friends gratuitously indulging in our music and we'll all become.....well, at least less hungry by mid morning.
Seriously though, its an enviable achievement so congratulations and best wishes for further rewarding success.
