Vintage recording forward

Post by Jfinbury » Thu Oct 13, 2016 7:03 pm

Happy to report a song I wrote and recorded back in the day still brings a smile. "Too Far To Go" was laid down in 1979. Fun facts-I married the singer Patty Brayden (still married and playing and writing music). The sax tenor sax solo is played by Ted Pickman at age 16. Ted went on to be a career sax man based in Amsterdam , Netherlands.

Y160921SS- RECORDINGS of ORIGINAL (no covers) 1970s Era FEMALE SINGER/SONGWRITER STYLE RECORDINGS are needed by an A-List Publisher for Film and TV sync licensing opportunities. If you've got old recordings that sound like they could be on a playlist with artists like Carole King, Carly Simon, Linda Ronstadt, etc., you might have just what this awesome publisher needs! Check out these references to hear the general ballpark of what this publisher needs:"It's Too Late" by Carole King:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Msmnb67 ... ticipation" by Carly Simon: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kKbADFJOCkU"It Doesn't Matter Anymore" by Linda Ronstadt: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wGQXTJQTLM0NOTE: We know that many of the songs recorded by some of these artists we penned by other writers, and technically speaking they may not be "singer/songwriters." But this is the general STYLE of music this publisher needs.

"Too Far To Go" can be heard at my Taxi Homepage
