New Member saying Hello!

Hello everyone,
My name is Kevin and I'm from the UK.
I have just signed up for membership of TAXI and looking forward to what the future holds.

I'm a musician, songwriter and engineer with many years experience and a long time Cubase user and my main instrument is the guitar.

I have given up the day job and concentrating on music full-time since September 2016. I'm in the research phase of sync licensing and watching as much TAXI TV Live as possible to get a feel for what I need to do. I can't believe it, there is such a wealth of knowledge there and I feel blessed to have found it! I've been searching for answers on what to do with my music at this stage in my life, for years and years and had a vague idea how to succeed. Now that I have found TAXI I now know what exactly what I need to to do. The bar is very high but I'll rise to the challenge.

I'm looking forward to talking to you all at some point and learning as much as I can about the sync business as I progress.

A tip for you: Play to your strengths, pick a genre, immerse yourself in it and learn it inside out.

lesmac has a wonderful tip, find yourself in one genre, get the hang of it, try yourself with different ones, and see how things work for you

nice to meet you. I live in glorious Devon

Unfortunately, I won't becoming to the Rally this year but I plan to visit next year. In the meantime, I can settle in and get some work done.
Writing music for film and TV will be a different mindset for me as I write songs as they come and not from a brief/spec. So that will be interesting!

I'm still researching what I need to do which is slowly getting clearer each day which is great.
