The Rally Experience

Post by WeWillWriteUaSong » Wed Nov 09, 2016 2:56 pm

Wow...just wow. Everyone on here tried to prepare me...and yet...nothing came close to being able to describe what actually happens at the rally. The energy, the spirit of music dancing through the lobby...it's like time stopped for those days. Nothing else existed. And nothing else needed to.

I cemented friendships that I KNOW will last for years. I had the time of my life. Words cannot express my gratitude for each and every one of you who reached out, and hung out with me (and my mother) this weekend. It was more than a music conference...it was real. It was love. It was 2500 people on their purpose, and at the top of their game...in every way. I felt accepted, honored, and humbled.

Shout out to those (you know who you are) who went out of their way (above and beyond) to make my rally experience something I will NEVER forget. We are brothers now and forever. Between the lot of us we have enough music to keep the world moving beyond eternity.

If there is one thing (ha! One thing) that I learned from attending this rally during this bonkers US election....it's that we are in control of our destiny... not a figurehead...or a "full of promises" politician. No one beyond your own mind can pave your path. Look deep down within...really dig...remember who you are..and then create... it's up to us now forumeers.

May The Force Be With all of You!

Sincerely your friend,
Marcus

My brotha from a kick-ass motha! What a blast we had last weekend. We'll have to figure out a way to hook up again in person prior to next year's Rally. I owe you Subway, and need to repay my debt to you, lol. (why we figured Subway at 1:30 am was a good idea, I have no clue, hahahaha)
