Ern is BAAAACK!

Hey All: I took a long respite from Taxi in order to compose symphonic music. I told y'all "I'd be Bach," and I was for awhile --- or more like my heroes, Beethoven, Debussy, and Stravinsky. I had a bit of success as an orchestral composer, with recordings by the Bulgarian and Czech Philharmonics (the Czech was world-class!). And scored some short films. All that was cool, but if you're not in academia, I found it pretty much a dead end... Sooo, about a year ago I got my baby out of the closet, my '63 Stratocaster. In my "previous life," I was a rocker and wrote actual SONGS, not 30 minute symphonies! After months of practicing, I began playing with other musicians again, and realized how much I missed that... And lately, started writing songs for the first time in awhile. That's a lot of fun, the discipline of distilling music and lyrics into 3-4 minutes!... Anyway, just want to say "HI" to anyone that still remembers me on this forum. Have a great holiday weekend!

I said it in p2p and I will say it again. Very glad to see ya back. I played for a party last night (just the acoustic) and had all age groups from 13 to 73 singing and clapping. I finished with joy to the world by three dog night:) I too forgot how much fun that was.
