We'd greatly appreciate feedback on any aspect of this song .. songwriting, production, mix, etc.
Is it done? Do you hear any problems, see any room for improvement? ala's?
Thanks.

Hi Dean,
very cool vibe, production was solid imo. Some elements reminded me a bit of Zappa, that blend of rock, unusual word selection in lyrics, and that somewhere world between singing and talking. Very cool, enjoyed the listen.
cheers

Hi What Sam Elliott does for sales of the Dodge Ram truck, Marc does to anchor your productions Who is that higher voice btw??
I hear the processing on the vox. I think it works, but some of the words are a little sacrificed because of it. I was wondering if one might slightly reduce that??
This is a VERY good song. The "she knows" is super catchy. This is a good stand alone, but mostly I hear film.
Congrats you two and thanks Dean for the comments on my last ones. Good luck
Sincerely
Paul

Re: rock w/Marc
A great song, Dean & Marc! I really like it!
That said, a few things did jump out at me as I listened 1) I felt the pre-chorus section was a little redundant - maybe “I didn’t know I knew I knew so little of love” - the use of juxtaposition to break up "knew" x3 a bit. 2) The use of the word “experienced” in line 4 of the bridge felt a bit fragmented to me - not the best fit. I’d be inclined to replace the word “experienced” with something like “broken in” - perhaps. 3) I felt the last line of the bridge section could have more impact if you keep the subject matter about her/she - maybe something like “with a love like hers / less ain’t more” or “cause according to her / less ain’t more” or “she’ll tell you herself / less ain’t more” - or something similar.
A cool vibe...enjoyed the listen.
All the best!

Thanks Steve. Zappa!
Thanks Paul. Super catchy hook, we like to hear that! We'll look at the vox processing. That is Marc on the high voice.
Thanks Trisha. Excellent food for thought. I'll enjoy playing with new words in those spots .. to see if I can make it better. It usually takes me a week of doing that before I know what I like best .. I gotta give new ideas time to sink in.

Hi Dean and Marc
Great song! I agree with some of the others that it has a great vibe and I can visualize this being used in film and TV. Also, I like the fact that you are putting a little rap phrasing into a rock song. I don't think you hear that very much, and it gives it more of an edge, rather than the usual driving rock you hear from Arrow Smith etc. Even in country music, you can some rap going on, so nice job. I really dig the lyrics and production and of course Marc's great voice. Good luck with one!

Re: rock w/Marc
Great vide! Great sound!
I don't think the lyrics match the vibe though.
For example:
"She’s a rock opera, great literature
Epic and timeless, she’s no one’s du jour"
The Dude performing the song is a cool gritty character, at least in my view, he would not speak like that.
Does he spend his time thinking about opera, great literature, and complex metaphors. Or does he load the truck up and get the job done.
Is he the guy who worries about getting a spot splashed on his tie? Or is he the guy doing the splashing to get the job done.
I’m completely on board with the sound and the vibe though.
