Here's some more fun ones:

http://fairlightinstruments.com.au/ios (as or more powerful than the original, even on an iphone!!)

http://www.iconnectmidi.com/ (pro quality midi/usb connection for ipad)

http://www.korg.com/ims20 (a classic. this thing sounds AWESOME, btw)

http://www.korg.com/ielectribe (I've already done some techno grooves with this thing)

http://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/ ... =SynthSt49 (not an app, but looks pretty cool. Kind of defeats the portability factor of the ipad but for the studio, might be a cool thing)

http://thestrangeagency.com/ (interesting fun stuff from these folks)

http://deepdishdesigns.com/gigbook.html (read charts and pdf fakebooks, organize sets, etc.)

Thank you sir!

Fun stuff!!

Found more fun stuff:

The Aurora is a virtual Tenori On. For 40 bucks it rivals the 1K Tenori On hardware unit, according to the review. Their Meteor looks to be a full fledged DAW on the ipad.

Here's a website that focuses on iOS music apps:

I have the iPad2 and heres some Apps I got:
Korg Electribe - Really fun yet simple beat/loop tool
GarageBand - Pretty good for playing also for saving ideas etc.
SoundPrism - Pretty cool for Ideas also tinkering around.
If you use Ableton Live:
Touch OSC - This App alone justifies my purchase of the ipad! U can control Ableton live over your wireless network with it. You can also Edit the templates and totally customize it any way you want. It's so much fun to play!
Has drumpads, keys, clip launch buttons, faders and knobs for everything!

If you have omnisphere they have this Orb tool where u can manipulate your sound using ipad
Air display - where you can turn your ipad into an external monitor with touch screen capability.

Post Re: iPad apps
I asked for and received a IPad and a I klip for Christmas. One of the things I want to do with this is organize lyrics only for the cover band I front. I am not sure what I need for apps..... Anyone doing this that can offer advice. ....???

There are several apps that can store pdf documents and you can store them on something like box.net and then access them from the ipad for download, etc. There are also apps like igigbook that can store lyrics, sheet music, etc. as pdf and then allow page turning, etc. on the gig.

I think you can even generate documents from the ipad itself, put them on the cloud (box, dropbox, icloud, etc.) and then access them in any app that can display pdfs.

You can also go to the app store and do a search for "lyrics".
