Voice Over Actor

Post by DorothyWallace » Sun Jan 23, 2011 6:37 am

I'm looking for a voice over actor with home recording equipment who can do impressions. Specifically (at least for now): David Letterman, Paul Schaeffer, A cool Irish music video director, a hip singer/songwriter who wears a wool cap in inappropriate places because he thinks it makes him look cool. Please post a link to your samples or email me at propergl@optonline.net

Thanks!

Hey Dorothy;

Check out: http://www.voices.com/

They have oodles of voiceover folks, some of whom might fill the bill. I do mostly comedy female voices (e.g. Julia Child, etc.), although for some reason I can also do Latino male voices, old geezers, and psycho killers. Just sayin' . . . Here's my character voice demo:

I want to recommend my friend Doug Shapiro - a very talented voice over actor and a guy who knows simply everyone. So if he can't do what you need, he probably knows someone who can.

Please let him know I sent you:

Ha! I used to do acting and won competitions with plays I wrote in my late teens. I would be a good fit for that Irish music director. But it all depends on what kind of Irish accent you want and from what region. There is the Northen accent, southern accent, western accent and north eastern accent. But the most favourable are always the colin farrell dublin accent. It gets used quite a lot as it's universal.
