My first Rally this year and I went to a panel of TAXI members sharing their success. That evening and next day, I could not get Helen Austin's "Happy" out of my head. Since then, I've bought her album for myself and a few Christmas presents. All I can say is :WOW! She is utterly amazing! Contagious songwriting at it's best. Did anyone else make any discoveries at the Rally? My shout out to Helen Austin- You have a new,HUGE fan after this Rally!

I couldn't agree with you more - I stumbled on to Helen's blog a few days before the Rally and started checking out her songs/videos.
I couldn't get "Perfect Girl" out of my head for about five days straight!

I met her during the Rally and expressed my sincerest admiration. Love her melodies and her backing vocals!

Hi, I've been thinking about re-joining Taxi after like a 12 year hiatus.

I came across this post and seems to be a good starting point for my questions.

Where are the listings for Music like Helen Austin's?

I've googled a lot of the "sounds like" artists from the current listings and just keep on scratching my head.

I 125% agree!!! There were maybe 5 songs played that might have been immediate hits and once I heard Helen Austin's, it just popped and was by far the best!

I'd say Helen's stuff would easily fit a la Ingrid Michaelson or Regina Spektor and the like.

Sometimes listings go in cycles. Sometimes you will find like 3-4 listings like music for Helens and then there's a month-long break when there aren't any.

I don't know if that answers your question at all. At least that's what I have observed from personal experience. You should definitely consider rejoining. I think it's worth it:)
