 Nice string of placements on my BMI statement -- thanks TAXI Had a really nice quarterly statement. Nice for me anyway. About a dozen placements on 'Bethany Gets Married', 7 or 8 on 'Bill and Guliana' and a 4 minute plus placement on an MTV show called 'Seven'.
The thing is, I don't really kill myself over this stuff either. I've got a demanding day gig that I actually love, and it more than pays the bills. With 2 kids in college and another one heading that way in 2 years I'm pretty content to work 'for the man' for another decade or so. I really love writing these tracks and seeing income from them is really cool. I figure that by the time my youngest has left the nest and is flapping them wings under her own steam ( or at least mostly) I should be in a great place to move into the salad days of my career -- writing and recording music.
