 Haunting, Somber Forward
I git one out of two through for this one: Y120203FL Top-Notch Music Placement/Licensing Company needs a HAUNTING, SOMBER, SERIOUS and EMOTIONAL SONG for a Hollywood Feature Film a la the Michael Andrews and Gary Jules version of "Mad World." http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t7Ig2JJRpdoAs always, DO NOT rip-off or copy the referenced artists in any way, shape or form. Use them ONLY as a guide for tempo, texture, and vibe. Your SONGS should be at LEAST 2 Minutes in length. The company adds, "A stripped down arrangement is preferred. Piano and strings work very well together. Instruments do not have to be acoustic but NEED to sound authentic. Synths or Vocoders are okay if done with a light touch and sophistication like the referenced song. The song must evoke strong emotion from the listener. What makes this performance of "Mad World" so great is that intense passion and heartbreak. Lyrically, it's wide open but there MUST be some underlying theme of conflict or challenge or observing the state of the world Ð NO LOVE SONGS or references to specific places or brands." Funny, the one I thought was on target got returned and the one I threw in almost as an afterthought got the nod, seems to happen a lot, I'll take it! The forward is called It's Only Love and the return is I Can't See if anyone's curious. eo

 Re: Haunting, Somber Forward
Awesome stuff, Ethan.
Say, did you submit "I Can't See" for the Jonsi listing? Seems like a natch.
Congrats, man!!

 Re: Haunting, Somber Forward
I'm gonna have to go on memory, because I'm sure the listing's expired by now.
Jonsi is the singer/leader of the Icelandic band Sigur Rios. Recently Taxi had a listing for songs in a similar vein.
Go to YouTube and search "jonsi" or "Sigur Rios."
Congrats, again!!

 Re: Haunting, Somber Forward
Another nice tune Ethan. I like the drone synth. This song also creates a cool mood. Well done!
