 Anyone noticed the Lo-Fi streaming?
It seem that my TAXI homepage keeps reverting to Lo-Fi streaming no matter how I have it set.... And I've noticed that every example I listen to on this forum is lo-fi as well if it streams from a TAXI homepage. Anyone experiencing similar or am I missing something?

Just thought I'd say I noticed it too. I hope the screeners don't end up with the same low-fi mp3s!!

Re: Anyone noticed the Lo-Fi streaming?
Well. FWIW, every time I try to make the change to Hi-Fi, all my media players suddenly tell me there's a problem with my system and that they're incapable of playing 90% of the music I'm trying to hear.
So, for me and this little laptop, keeping it on the down Lo-Fi is my only bet.
Just my $.02

Wow!! It’s true!!!!
I didn’t know that! I just went to my taxi homepage and played them both!
Do the screeners end up with the same low-fi mp3 like mewman says? Did someone ask taxi about it?

When you upload your song to Taxi, the 192k mp3 is saved somewhere for review by the screeners. A 128k mp3 is created for your streaming page. I'm assuming the 192k mp3 for screening would be played at hi fi. I noticed the hi-fi and lo-fi thing myself before, and wondered why it was happening, thought it was just me.

Re: Anyone noticed the Lo-Fi streaming?
The TAXI screeners hear the high quality version...thats not what I was concerned about. I was wondering why even though the TAXI sites allow you to choose high quality streaming, a song seems to only play once at the high setting, then everything reverts back to low quality for all other streams. This isn't the way it used to work. I've been in touch with them via email, but I'm not sure if I got my point across.

Re: Anyone noticed the Lo-Fi streaming?
I noticed this too. I always want to hear the high quality version, but it usually defaults to opening the lo-fi one when I click on links in this forum. I get around it by going to any Taxi hosting page, clicking the radio button for high quality, and voilà, all of a sudden the links from this forum open the high quality version.
If there was some way to avoid having to do this, that would be great!
