Thank you Casey for all the helpful info on what to bring to the Road Rally. Even though I've attended before, your insight reminded me of what I have to prepare. This year I will put a dot on my badge, so that I can connect with other forum members.

All this is so interesting, dear Casey.

You are good ! :) Thank you so very much.

We, Hector and Catherine, cannot go to the Road Rally, for different reasons. :( But our heart will be there with you all.

Now, where is this going to take place at all ? In a very large building somewhere ? I suspect that the Hotels are not far. Or, may be this information should not be said here ...

You, dear Casey, are living in Philadelphia, so you are going to fly there ?

Hi Hector and Catherine :)

The rally is held at a major hotel near Los Angeles airport. Sorry you guys can't make it! :( If circumstances change, it would be great to meet you.

Yes, I'll be flying there (in an airplane)... 3000 miles is a bit out of my walking range. ;)

Warmest,
:D Casey

Cheers, dear Casey. :)

I have visited your two Websites today, I really like them. (To find them, one has just to Google search your name.)

Hi guys,
I'm going to the road rally. Looking forward to it. My questions: 1. are there keyboards/pianos at the open mics? 2. do most guitar players bring a guitar for the open mics and if so, is it worth dealing with an airline bringing the guitar across the country?

Keyboard and guitar are available. You don't have to bring your own.

Best,
:D Casey

On the other hand, a lot of people do bring guitars (and other instruments). There's always a lot of jamming going on in the lobby area and other places. I'm debating whether to bring mine this year. I probably will.

I always bring my guitar for jamming, practicing, lending to others, playing El Kabong ;) ... whatever...

But if your sole purpose for bringing one is the open mic, you don't really have to. One is always provided by the house.
