A new placement on the Discovery Channel
I promise I'm going to stop going on about these things soon, but placements are still very new for me and damn they are encouraging.
So a new cue sheet showed up today for a show on the Discovery Channel called I ALMOST GOT AWAY WITH IT. It was used as a backdrop for some good old meth smoking which lead to some "welcome to the slammer" shots. Ahh the pride I felt.
It's funny how these things work. This piece was my first Taxi forward, and one of the first pieces I signed with this library going on over four years ago. After four years of nothing, it has been used in my last two placements in the past two months on completely different networks and shows. Strange how it's rearing its head after all this time.
Anyhow's, that makes north of 40 placements in the last four months. Up from 8 this time last year. I'm hoping this is a sign that all that work and waiting is finally starting to pay off.
Ok, enough feather ruffling. Back to the studio.

Re: A new placement on the Discovery Channel
I love hearing stories like this. It's so motivating and inspiring for me (and many others) to hear of these types of successes. 40 placements so far this year... damn! what I wouldn't give to have that! And to have your music used in a meth scene, haha, well that's a helluva funny story to tell people
Okay, now that I'm thoroughly inspired, I'm going back to the keyboard - the musical keyboard, that is.

Thanks VanderBoegh, if that is your real name and I hope it is because it's frankly awesome!. I'm really not trying to brag (whatever) but I think is is important to show that this is real and does work at some level.
You can do this. I'm not special, if you don't rely on my mom's opinions. But everyone here can do this. You're probably not going to get rich, but you can music onto TV in this day and age if you try.
Taxi is not BS. This does work.

Why not brag? You should be celebrating every victory you make. You put in the work and you are entitled to the rewards from that work.fusilierb wrote:I'm really not trying to brag (whatever) but I think is is important to show that this is real and does work at some level.
