What percussion plugins are best for composing cues?
I have Damage but it is a little too intense for some cues. I have been looking around for a more versatile plugin for lite tension, etc. Something with sticks, congas, bongos, and such. Maybe with some built-in rhythms like Damage. Anyone have any suggestions? Thanks for any input.

Probably something like True Strike which has a variety of percussion.

There are a zillion percussion libraries.piwacquet wrote:I have Damage but it is a little too intense for some cues. For what you mention, I'd suggest having a look at Evolution Series "World Percussion". They are very cleanly recorded and don't have the processed sound that libraries like Damage have.
Personally I like Spitfire HZ01 for clean drums but it does have that AIR Studio sound which isn't always what one is after.

I'd put a word in for Storm Drum 3, just for its fantastic sound. It can do big epic very well, but also a lighter touch. Not very many loops though. I don't think LADD was a very big hit for Audiobro, but it's pretty useful and has a lot of loops

This is a great first purchase cuz it covers a lot of the most common acoustic and electric percussion styles/genres. https://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail ... AhEw8P8HAQ

Soundiron's Apocalypse series are great for what you are looking to do https://soundiron.com/collections/drums-percussion
I have the lite version, and it comes with a ton of presets and midi loops too. Bang for the buck buy.
