1 Down, 99 to Go

Post by Margaret » Mon Mar 08, 2021 4:37 pm

Howdy Folks!

I'm brand new here. I just got my first return! WOOHOO!

A few weeks ago a friend shared this article with me. I realize it is for "writer" writers, but I think it's applicable to our craft as well. 100 might be too much of a stretch for me this first year, but I think setting a goal of 100 rejections in a year's time is an excellent way to frame it.

Yes. I liked the takeaway line:
"the ... highest quality came from the group being graded on quantity, because they had ... churned out tons of work, and learned from their mistakes. The other half of the class spent most of the semester paralyzed by theorizing about perfection" - Kim Liao

And you go, Margaret! I only managed to get about 20 returns last year (my first year with Taxi). This year I'd like to shoot for 50!
