Re: 1st Tunesat detection!!
I don't think this matters. The algorithm detects my pieces under so much garbling, it should be fine. But don't forget to upload alternative versions too if they were requested by the library, since they might use them instead of your full track.PeteCrane wrote: ↑Fri Apr 21, 2023 6:51 amAlso, does anyone know if the mastering of a track matters with Tunesat's ability to make detections? I've mostly got unmastered versions of my tracks on my hard drive, as the Music Libraries do their own mastering. If I upload my unmastered tracks to Tunesat (which is what I've been doing), will it still recognise when the mastered version from a ML gets used, or will the properties of the wav file be too different?

And congrats, 3 minutes on public German TV should buy a lunch or several.eandersonmusic wrote: ↑Mon Mar 20, 2023 5:47 amHey Michael!
It aired on mdr sachsen-anhalt heute 3/13 as a three minute piece, and just got reposted (not sure if that's the right terminology) on rbb um6 - das ländermagazin mit sport , the same exact piece.
Thanks!

Re: 1st Tunesat detection!!
I just got my first TuneSat detection this week too!
A 1-minute placement in a Norwegian dark drama series called "Exit". Oh, and it's thanks to a ML I connected with via Taxi
I'm really excited about the detection and the placement. But I still have a free Tunesat account and I must say the paid version is ludicrously expensive. $100/mo just for 50 tracks in all territories? $187/mo for 100 tracks, and so on? In my mind I imagine this should cost more like $3/mo, like Google +Drive or something, yaknow?
I understand that the technology they use is incredible, and it's a major buzz to get a detection, but the small amount of royalties earned from these kinds of placements absolutely does not justify the monthly expense of Tunesat. It might make sense for Music Libraries to have a subscription, but it's a shame they've priced it so that individual composers can't justify it. Am I being a wet blanket here or does anyone else agree that their pricing is inordinately high?
