2 for the HIP HOP TENSION w/ HORN STABS

Post by VanderBoegh » Thu Feb 29, 2024 10:32 pm

Got two past the goalie for the "Hip Hop Tension with Horn Stabs" listing:

Please submit well-crafted Hip-Hop Tension cues with big, aggressive brass stabs that could be used for reality TV or sports programming! Your submissions should have engaging motifs, solid arrangements, powerful brass, slick hip-hop beats, polished productions, and a gritty, in-your-face type energy. Stick to a central motif throughout and add and subtract layers of instrumentation as your Cues progress to create a forward motion. Please make sure that any virtual instruments you use are high-quality, genre appropriate, and are not dated-sounding.

Been a while since I've submitted anything - I half expected the submission fee to have doubled, just like the cost of a Totino's Pizza, lol. I swear, Taxi submissions must be the only thing not hit by inflation!

That first track took me right to remembering just last evening, some guy pulled up to the pub in one of those new Tesla pick-up trucks;
first one I've seen "LIVE", and not just in magazine or YouTube vids. That track would be great in an ad for those.
He shoulda had that music blasting out when he opened the door to step out
to the gawkers hanging around. :? :shock: 8-) :lol:
Congrats, Professor.

Whew! Thanks for posting your forwards, Matt! Great to hear how you keep your tracks developing while sticking to the one mood.

Seems to have been $5 since the late 90s :shock:

Cool tracks, how likely is it when you're in a whole bunch of libraries that you get the call and it's someone you already know :?

Great tracks Matt, and an example to us all on how to make TV hip hop. No doubt they'll be snapped up and you'll have another bunch of them waiting in the wings to sweeten the deal with yet another library - or maybe one you're already working with :) .
Graham (UK). Still composing a little faster than decomposing, and 100% HI.

I was thinking the same thing. MVB is probably connected to all of these libraries already.

There should be an option to opt out somehow. Maybe you have a list of all the libraries you're connected with and don't see those listings...sounds a bit technical for Micheal though :lol:
